The Battle (Kinda)Caseda was traveling the blind eternities. He was alone, and was happy because he was going to see Trina, who he hasn't seen in a while.

Up ahead of him and old, yet familiar person, was standing casually. His hands were in his pockets and his eyes glared at caseda.

Caseda stopped, and chuckled.
"Why are you here Ix?"
He said it more for formality than want for an answer he already knew.

Oh nothing much. Just walking around, having a bit of fun. You know. I mean come on. I've been gone for so long I've lost memory of most things here.

"Yeah, it really was that long ago. Hhh...remember that war withing we fought all that time ago?"

*chuckles* Ahh yes, unfortunately I barely remember it now. Though I must say the feeling of loss for the others has helped me become a bit stronger. *sigh* at least their deaths weren't wasted in the end. Besides, they'll awaken soon anyway.

"I wonder if all of them will come back."

They will eventually. When they do I plan to go and pay a quick visit. But know we digress. I came here not of a whim, but rather a strong feeling that you'd be here. I need to ask. What happened? Why are you here?

"Why do you want to know so bad Ix, or should I call you Kevin?"

Kevin, Ixchillvalle, it doesn't matter. And you of all people should know why I ask. I love power more than my own life at times, and information is one of the greatest sources of power.

"Fine than, but it will only disappoint someone like you."
Caseda smiled, and look Ix right in the eyes.
"Why am I here? Why do I keep coming back?" He said that with a more strength than he usually talks with.
He looked away, and spoke softer, as a tear appeared in his eye.
"This is where I last saw her before the battle, Ix. You can't see the importance of that I know, but trust me, it's enough to allow myself into to open."

He said the last part with a stubborn tone.

Ohhh, *smirks* There's more is there. Please then, continue.

"That I won't tell you Kevin."
He looked into Ix's eyes.
"I have something here to protect..." His tone was getting louder as he spoke "And I sure as hell won't fail it."

Fine then. I'll make you a deal. A battle right here, between you and me. I win, you tell me what it is you're protecting. You win, and I'll not only leave you alone, but, I will preform one, and only one, favor for you. Do we have a deal?

"Fine than Ix."
Caseda was now completely serious.
He draw diturne and Queen's Guard.

Ix summoned up Areelia. "I'll be a good sport and let you strike first."

"But we now that I am stronger, so you should get the first hit."
Caseda knew right where this was going to go.

No no, I insist. Besides, we haven't fought in many years. For all you know I may be far stronger now.

"But I know that you still not as strong as me, it would be like a giant fighting a rat, and not letting the rat hit him first. It just wouldn't be right."

"Ahh, see you still haven't lost your edge have we caseda? Fine then, I will make the first strike."
Ix lunged and as he did so split his body into three all attacking the same man with weapons of DA steel.

Caseda parried one with his rapier. He block another with his gun, and froze the last before it hit, stopping all it momentum.
"Still trying your old tricks I see Kevin, though I must admit, that was better than last time.

With that the two remaining figures slid down the weapons towards th skin.

"I fleshed morph all the metals out of me Kevin, come on, give me some credit."
As he said this, his eyes widened, and he stared off past his opponent.

Ix rapidly drew back and reformed at his starting position. >Curses, I thought my power boost and his instability would give me the upper hand. But he's just like always. I'll find a way around it though.<

The Queen's Guard started to glow, and it was bright.
"Sorry old friend, but I have to make this quick now, and I know just what you can do for me."
As he said this, he took his abnomally form, turning into a blue, six winged angel.

"Trust me when I say I don't in tend to lose."
Ix forms himself into an omatenium sphere. Trying as carefully as possible he realeases particles of metal that float to the ground. (Note:caseda shouldn't notice this unless he takes a second out of the battle and looks for it. Either that or caseda has super sight and can see flakes no bigger than dust particles in the middle of a heated battle)

Caseda took flight, he wasn't playing anymore, and need to make this his kind of fight. In the air, Kevin would have a hard time doing his tricks.
<Let's see, he doesn't have a lot of water, but I can make him stuck in a solid form.>
He created an aura of frost around him, cold enough to freeze the liquid omatenium.

>Damn him, I can't remember which metal is cold resistent. I'll try all of them till I find a suitable one.< Begins morphing body to different metals.

<It's only so long before he finds a way out, so ok, what's my next move?>

>Forget it, it's taking too long.< "Areelia awaken your second state!" *the turbine begins to spin. As electricity is produced Ix correlates the current throughout his body creating a super conductor. Eventually the friction peaks and a heat wave is released from Ix as he transmutes to molten lead.

Caseda laughed.
"That it?"
He decreased the temperature more, again freezing Kevin.
<It's still only temporary, I need to find a way to beat him>

>Damn. Not enough friction. Well, we'll just have to fix that. Won't we Areelia?< "Open now the third and final form of the blade of Tzatt. Areelia truely awaken. (The guards break off and the runic blade is revealed.) Now take this Caseda, oh lord of water and ice." (begins friction on a much higher scale than before.)

"Kevin, end this now, before I really start to fight."
His voice was calm, but had a strange, almost insane edge to it.

"You still underestimate me! What does it take to show you I'm not the rookie I once was!? Caseda, you, better than anyone, should know I never run away from a fight. Allow me to show you some of the things I've picked up." As he finishes Ix holds Areelia, the blade of Tzatt, up to the sky.

Caseda froze the water vapor into a near impervious ice shield. Blocking his attacks.
<Infinite blades huh? Must I use one of my secret abilities?> (occ:As I said earlier, I kept many of the npc's abilities secrets for surprise at later times)

<No, I wont waste my aces yet. But it is time to end this.>
Caseda's eyes turned completely blue. He thought back to all the pain he ever felt, no, of all the world. He placed it all his shoulders. He let himself feel like the earths guardian.
His skin started to crack, letting go to a black, glossy substance. He doubled in size.
"I GRIEVE FOR YOUR SINS AND PAIN THAT I CAUSED YOU KEVIN!!!"
The area around him exploded in his new black aura.
"I am Griever."

>Shit, I knew this would happen sooner or later. Now then, just got to wait it out.< Ix retreats back into his sphere and expands the omatenium matter as wellas condenses it.<

Caseda rended the reality the made Ix's form. He broke his way to the no-dachi orb, and grabbed it.
"It's over kevin, if I kill you, you can't do my job for me."
Caseda smiled.

"Go ahead, break the orb. It won't kill me or even slow me down for more than a few hours. You see I've hidden contless pieces of my body throughout the multi-verses. Each one can reprocess itself into me instantly. Once I'm reformed all I have to do is repair the orb in a few seconds and I'll be back. As I said, I will not run, and now I'm not going to go easy on you either." Ix liquidates the orb and spreads it throughout his body. At the same time he engulfs Caseda with DA blades running with the electrical current of Areelia conduited throughout his body.

Caseda shattered Kevin, every last bit in the vicinity.
He than reappeared near one of his "satellites"
"And now, and whole piece of you is destroyed. I can do that enough times to finish you off if need be."

"You can't destroy them all. But no matter. You won fair and square." Holds out hand as the orb fragments rematerialize and go back into his being. "As was our deal I owe you one favor. Name it."

Caseda turned back.
"Come with me, back to where we were."

"Ok, so here we are. What is it you would have me do?"

Caseda ever so gently picked up the light blue orb from earlier.
"Funny, how I am entrusting you with this, but I know you will keep your word."
He handed the orb to Kevin.
"Protect it until it leaves of its own accord. Pleas."
Tears seem to well in his eyes.

"Something very important to me, and until it's ready, it'll need a guardian, and I can't stay any longer."
Caseda started to walk away, but then looked back.
"And there is still some good in you Kevin. Believe or nor."
Then he disappeared.
